My sandwich was completely burnt, the bacon was raw, and I wasn't offered a single drink refill the entire time I was there. The staff seemed to see me but chose to ignore me. I will absolutely not be coming back to this location. If I could give it zero stars, I would.
This restaurant has really gone downhill. I visited on Monday and saw many employees just standing around, joking and laughing with one another, completely ignoring the customers. My server wasn't very attentive and kept forgetting basic items like sides and drinks. Although the food was decent, my bacon was undercooked. There are much better options available, so I wouldn't recommend this place.
Overall, it's a charming establishment with clean tables, and our waitress, Tiara, was exceptionally professional and polite. She was kind and incredibly accommodating.
The menu may not have offered a wide variety, but that was completely fine for us. Since there isn't a location in our state, we always make a point to visit Waffle House whenever we're in the South for some tasty food at great prices. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the cook did a fantastic job preparing our five meals! We did wish for a bit more seating space for our group, but we managed well enough. The hash brown bowl was genuinely a comforting dish!
The main cook, a man with a shaggy ponytail and no hairnet, seemed to prioritize chatting with the second cook over preparing food. After observing for about an hour, it appeared the second cook had little to no understanding of the orders he was supposed to prepare. Our waiter took about ten minutes to ask us for our drink orders after we were seated. We had to stop him as he wandered near the cooking area to finally get our order taken. Unfortunately, he had zero personality, making the experience less welcoming. To keep this review concise, here are some key points: 1. My sister's breakfast took about 45 minutes to arrive. 2. My sandwich took roughly an hour, and that was only after I had to flag down the waiter twice to inquire about its status. 3. The overall service was so slow that during our wait, ten new customers walked in and left due to the lengthy wait and evident lack of professionalism from the staff. 4. Over the course of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, not one dirty dish was washed, and my meal, along with others, was served on a takeout plastic dish. 5. No one brought us a check or thanked us for dining there, nor did anyone clean our booth after we finished. Eventually, we put on our coats and walked towards the cash register to pay our bill. A customer at the counter stopped us and generously offered to cover it, likely seeing how long we had waited and the poor service we encountered. We were grateful for this unexpected Christmas gift and left. This restaurant poorly represents the Waffle House chain. It suffers from inadequate management, poor hiring practices, and understaffing, with no evident quality control standards in place for the floor staff. Thankfully, not all Waffle House locations operate like this one. Whoever is responsible for this Waffle House needs to make significant improvements, either by implementing professional standards or stepping aside. As it stands, this location is a disgrace to the Waffle House brand.
