La Placita Mexico Deli - Allentown

We are always impressed by this place. The food is fresh and the flavors are spot-on. This is the only truly authentic Mexican restaurant we frequent! I highly recommend it over any other Mexican restaurant in the area.

This is the best Mexican food in the valley. When I close my eyes, it feels like I'm in my grandma's kitchen. If you're just going to stick to the recipe on the box of Old El Paso shells, then this place might not be what you're looking for.

Delicious and affordable food! This is hands down one of the best budget-friendly spots in the Valley. The food is incredible and offers an authentic experience, far removed from typical American-style Mexican cuisine. My personal favorite is the steak burrito, and the tacos are equally fantastic. Few Mexican restaurants, regardless of price, can compare to this place, especially when you factor in the salsas—they truly elevate the meal. The red and green salsas are packed with flavor and have quite a kick. (As of September 2012, this restaurant has an 89% rating, but based solely on the quality of the food, it deserves a perfect 100. Everyone raves about the food. The only downsides are related to the setting, which is simply a small deli in downtown Atown. However, I believe that adds to its charm.)

This place is undoubtedly the best Mexican in the valley. Unfortunately it's basically a deli but if you are looking for take out take the drive. Soon!

Best in the Lehigh Valley!!!. I moved here 7 years ago from San Diego and immediately began my quest for authentic Mexican food.After 7 years of one let down after the other, I found La Placita!Everything is the best! My only complaint is that the sopes aren't like my grandma makes them. But they are still pretty delicious!
