My wife and I were doing some local business in Alexandria, VA when we noticed Thanida Thai Restaurant and thought we'd give them a try. You have to understand that we live in a condo that is right next door to another Thai competitor, so we feel like we're cheating on a girlfriend or something. I have to say
My colleagues and I loved the place. Owner, servers and chefs were Thai. Very authentic Thai food. Love their Green Curry and fried rice. The Thai Ice Tea was so good and so authentic. Must try the dessert, Fried Ice Cream. We loved it. Highly recommended authentic Thai food.
Worst experience ever came up against!!!! Extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered couple appetizers. One of the them was a crab dish. I asked the server whether the dish was made with real crab or with the imitation version one. She said: We use real crab. This place is excellent. The food was actually life changing. The ambiance was absolutely ideal. Loved their gentle yet slightly groovy music choice played at the perfect volume. The pad thai was the first made with tamarind I?ve had and it was unbelievably good. The drunken noodle was such an amazing texture and flavor. Very generous portion sizes. Finally we had the mango sticky rice to seal the deal and practically died and went to heaven it was delightful.
Nice, quiet part of Old Town. Staff friendly and service was prompt and attentive. Food was awesome!
