We were especially impressed by the extra personal touches that Monique left for us in the room to welcome us. The cute paper craft welcoming us to the Balloon Fiesta and Nativo Lodge along with the daily jokes showed that she takes her job seriously and wants her guests to feel welcomed and satisfied. We were fortunate to have her service on our floor. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and offered some local brew and dining suggestions. The complimentary drinks offered by the hotel each night were a nice treat. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Although our room faced the highway, and could be a bit noisy during the day, we weren't disturbed by it at night. Strangely, there was a homeless lady camped out on the frontage road outside the hotel, but she kept to herself. The WiFi signal in our room was basically nonexistent, but we were at the end of a hall. There is a gas station conveniently located across the street, which worked out good for topping our gas tank off before returning the rental car at the airport. We may have stayed at nicer places in the past for the money, but overall, the location and the service we received during our stay here was satisfactory. We enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay here again if we were to return to ABQ.
The Nativo Lodge is just off of I-25 on the North side of Albuquerque. The public areas of the motel are nicely decorated in Southwestern style. Our room was nice enough but in the morning we found that the showerhead was broken and showering was impossible. There are several restaurants in the area and hotel guests get a glass of wine .
This place was creepy. I booked a room for 2 nights to visit family in Albuquerque. When I checked in, I was not informed that my room would not be cleaned until I asked for it to be cleaned. I was very angry when returning to my room the first night, the room was as I left it. No clean towels, no bed made. I will NEVER stay there again.
My stay here 2 years ago was great, so booked it for 2 nights again and reccomend to family. Upon checking in was told our room was upgraded excited). Bed box was too big for the mattress tacky) fridge didn't work snacks spoiled) our room was never cleaned, Ran out of towels, hand towels, tissue, and our AC broke down. Elevator broke huffed and puffed 4 flights of stairs. Our phone didnt work at all, and needs upgrade on TV. Lastly the mattress, it swallowed me too lumpy) and uncomfortable.
The reviews were right. Everything was outdated. Needs one big major overhaul complete remodel. The painting in our room was like splattered pain. No soap provided just push bottle for soap! And one was empty. No telling how many hands have been on it and if they put anything in there. Pool was tiny! It was open though, the pool. Balcony was cool see view. Oh elevator broke ! We walked 4 stories with all our stuff!! Ugh but they got it fixed in an hour but the walk up with tons of stuff sucked! Oh Starbucks and taco cabana a walk away.
