Aurora Sky Station - Abisko

The restaurant is located in a somewhat isolated area, perfect for catching a glimpse of the northern lights. However, some city lights still filter through. Patience is key, as guests can only view the northern lights when lucky. A darker setting would have enhanced the vibrant colors of the lights.

The best way to see and experience the northern lights in northern Sweden. abisko lies geographically behind a mountain that protects it from bad weather and in turn offers fantastic possibilities to see the northern lights. visit the sky station to have an even more surreal experience of the lights of over 900m above sea level. I recommend the dinner before, as they not only experience a great feed, but also access to the mountain ~2hrs before the other guests who make the experience much more special.

Must really visit when they are in abisko. they have the absolutely best view over mountains and lakes. also the best place to see the aurora.

The views from the top are absolutely stunning. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the summit, where you can explore hiking trails that lead to even higher vantage points. This place is definitely worth a visit!
