This Swedish restaurant is located on the upper deck of a charming ship dating back to the 1920s, which also contains a hotel and bar.The ship is easy to find, as it 's moored at Riddarholmen, a few minutes walk from the Old Town (Gamla Stan and its Metro Station. It 's worth noting that the restaurant does not open for lunch and is closed on Sunday and Monday. The food was typically Swedish; we shared a starter of herring served 3 ways and accompanied by new potatoes and dill, which was excellent...if you 're a fish lover! For mains, we can recommend our selections of char (similar to salmon served with a prawn/lobster sauce and the classic dish of meatballs. We both chose as dessert what was advertised as chocolate fondant (served with ice cream , which proved to be chocolate cake. Pleasant, but perhaps something was lost in translation. As is universal in Stockholm, even an average wine was relatively expensive (typically SEK 400+ , but there was a good selection of Swedish beer and I can recommend the bottled craft IPA called Miss Behave . The serving staff were very friendly, efficient and professional and made our first evening in Stockholm an enjoyable experience. With coffees, the final bill was around SEK 1,100, which represented good value for restaurant dining in the Old Town.
We ate in the restaurant on two of our four evenings onboard. The food is of very high quality with excellent presentation. As in the rest of Stockholm, the prices were quite high but still good value. Great staff too.
We came here for dinner with Road Scholar. The salmon and potatoes was okay. The brownie, fresh fruit, and sorbet was the highlight of the meal.
Not very expensive for centre, good view for gamla stan, 3 main dishes (fish, meet) and 3 dessert for choice, Good place for having dinner if you were there occasionally but it is not worth to choose it specially
