Yī Kè - 安来市

I chose a highly rated restaurant near Sakaiminato from Yonago city, where I could enjoy beef bone ramen at night. I deliberately chose the beef bone ramen because I wanted to savor the flavor of the beef bones, but the option of adding a mountain of vegetables for an extra 120 yen was also appealing, reminiscent of a traditional household style. The soup, flavored with beef fat, was sweet and fragrant with a refreshing aftertaste, making it delicious. Surprisingly, the pork slices had a meaty texture and were tasty. While the melt-in-your-mouth pork slices were also good, I personally preferred the firm texture. The fried rice was also delicious with the pork slices adding a nice flavor. The generous amount of green onions added an accent that further enhanced the taste of the soup.

I have used the Yodo River location many times, but this was my first visit to this branch. I entered the restaurant right after it opened and, as expected for a popular spot, customers were arriving one after another! I ordered the miso ramen for 780 yen including tax, and added four slices of grilled pork chashu for 360 yen including tax, bringing the total to 1140 yen including tax. The rich and flavorful soup was delicious, with a deep umami taste. The grilled pork chashu was tender and flavorful as well. I would like to try other ramen options next time!

This was my second time trying beef bone ramen. I ordered the salt ramen (630 yen). The beef bone broth was rich and flavorful, yet light and delicious. It's a taste that makes you want to visit again.
