If you want to enjoy a delicious tonkatsu in a hearty portion for just 1,000 yen, there's no better place than Senbou. They pay attention to the amount and texture of the noodles, the cooking time, the flavor and ratio of the meat, the heat of the hot plate, the atmosphere of the restaurant, the local charm, and offer unlimited sprinkling of powdered cheese and self-service miso soup for two cups. *Warning: You may become addicted.
The raised tatami seating was spacious and perfect for families! We were able to eat slowly and enjoy the delicious flavors. The portions of dishes like the spaghetti and tonkatsu were generous, but my husband, who eats a lot, felt that the rice set was a bit small for him, so I recommend getting the large size if you have a big appetite! The photo is of the lasagna spaghetti dish.
This place is more of a spaghetti restaurant than a Western food shop, isn't it? I've been a regular here for a long time. Unlike Izumiya, the meat sauce here is quite acidic. I wonder why? The meat sauce is 980 yen, while the meat cutlet is 1000 yen, a difference of just 20 yen! The pasta here is on the softer side, probably because it's been boiled and left to sit. I recommend trying the Chibou-style and Chinese Piccata pasta dishes, but my personal recommendation is the spaghetti lasagna-style.
